My design journey started back in 2015 when a friend and I got curious about music production. He’s still making beats, but I got completely distracted by the fun part—designing the cover art.
That’s when I realized creating visuals was my real jam.
Since the start of 2023, I’ve been meditating and practicing pranayama every single day, which basically means the smile on my face is here to stay :)
The journey so far…
2015 — Discovered design while making cover art for EDM tracks on SoundCloud. From cracked Photoshop and endless YouTube tutorials, I fell in love with the craft.
2016 — Rejected by my school’s design club (NODE). Instead of quitting, I doubled down — using the rejection as fuel to sharpen my skills.
2017 — Earned my first design role with my school’s Model UN, and separately, joined a major hackathon where I won 2nd prize in Web Development.
2018 — Returned to NODE as president, led one of its strongest season with big sponsors, directed design for TEDx, MUN, Yearbook, class projects, and signed my first client — Protein O’ Clock — building their brand from the ground up.
The Builder
2019 - 2021 — Started at USC Design. Became Assistant Director of Creative Services for Student Government, joined Adobe’s Ambassador program, revived a campus designathon, co-founded one of LA’s largest student-run agencies, and completed my first UI/UX internship working with marketing and development teams.
The Leap
2022 — Procured new clients for Innovative Design at USC, and generated the highest amount of project revenue till date. Landed my first major internship at Earnest, a fintech company, learning from seasoned designers and impacting customer servicing experiences.
2023 — Achieved a childhood dream by joining Insomniac Games as a design intern on Marvel’s Wolverine. (Most of the work under NDA)
The Practice
2024 — Took an unexpected leap: got the opportunity to build a design practice within a leading IT consulting company — scaling revenue, strengthening client partnerships, and expanding the design team.
2025 — Sumeru Design generated 35+ new clients with 3 long-term partnerships, won a web excellence award, grew revenue by almost 250%
